Vacancy – Office Administrator

Newcastle West Golf Club is currently looking to recruit an Office Administrator to work with our team at the club in Ardagh, County Limerick.

The role would ideally suit someone with experience in an Office Administration role incorporating Digital Marketing experience. While not essential, a third level qualification in Business Administration or equivalent, and a knowledge of the game of golf, would be an advantage.

Reporting to the Secretary Manager and Management Council the main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide administrative support and accounts assistance in a busy office environment
  • Provide e-Marketing/digital support for various Social Media campaigns
  • Assist with the day-to-day activities of the golf club
  • Deal with member queries on the phone, via email or in person during office opening hours
  • Booking tee-times for visitors, golf societies and members as required
  • Administration support for various events throughout the year
  • Provide administrative assistance for the various committees within the golf club as required

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent administration and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of Digital Marketing techniques and Social Media
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite products (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook etc.)
  • Experience dealing with clients in person, via email or over the phone
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a wider team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage work time and prioritise effectively
  • A professional manner in person and on the phone
  • Knowledge of golf industry, accounting and payroll packages would be an advantage
